Global Director of Operations, Process Optimization and Transformation ADM

Tara Tolly is the Global Director, Process Optimization & Transformation for ADM. She is based out of ADM’s North American Headquarters in Decatur, IL. In her current role, she is responsible for ADM’s Global Manufacturing strategy in Industrial Transformation, Operational Excellence and Sustainable Operations. Tolly has more than 20 years of experience in ADM Operations. She started at ADM in 2001 as a Process Engineering Intern and prior to her current role, she was Director Operations, Decatur Complex. In this role she led compliance, talent & culture, workforce of the future planning, productivity & innovation, maintenance & reliability, and capital planning for 6 processing plants, sitewide cogeneration facility and water treatment. In addition, she has been a Regional Director within ADM’s Animal Nutrition business, a Plant Manager at 3 different manufacturing locations in North America and a Global Category Lead in Procurement. Tolly also champions ADM’s Global Environmental Health & Safety Council, Global Information Cyber Security Council, North American DE&I Council, and the North American Process Engineering Leadership Development Program. Tara is passionate about mentoring early career Engineering Talent and establishing career progression paths for Frontline Talent. She is an unyielding conduit for change, continuously driving to enable human reliability at the frontline. Tara holds a BS in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University and a MBA from Illinois State University.
