European Compliance Officer Meta

Nicola Aitken is a Senior Compliance Manager within Meta’s privacy team, working in the intersection between product, policy, and legal teams to ensure robust compliance with key EU/UK regulations such as GDPR and the EU AI Act. Before this, Nicola was part of Meta’s Content Policy team, leading external engagement within the EU on countering misinformation and responsible AI practices.

Her career began outside of the private sector, with Nicola working at the UK Government in policy roles focusing on countering disinformation, tech regulation, broadcasting regulation, and broader media policy.
