Stephen Hey

Stephen got his break in the games industry in 1993, PR’ing for the movie-heavy portfolio of Ocean Software and helping to launch games like Worms, V-Rally and Jurassic Park. He co-founded games creative agency Head First in 1999, working with Activision, EA, Nintendo, and Lego. Mobile games came next, and Stephen became Marketing Director of EA’s indie mobile studio Chillingo, working on games like Angry Birds, Cut The Rope and Iron Force and managing comms, marketing and creative teams. In 2017, Stephen started the freelance business HeyStephenHey, offering commercial, business development and marketing services for companies including Bossa, Red Bull, Milky Tea and Huey Games, as well as educational and training organisations. Since October 2021, Stephen has been Head of Publishing for Middlesbrough indie Radical Forge. Stephen is an ambassador for SpecialEffect, a board member of the Manchester Games Network and founder of ‘Unseen Galaxy’.
