As part of a strong commitment to the Paris climate change conference, Australia has set a target to reduce carbon emissions to 26-28% on 2005 levels by 2030. Renewable energy will be key to this and globally will not only play a role in the reduction of carbon emissions, but will offer a host of benefits to developing nations from reliability to resilience. Here ministerial perspectives will be shared as to what this commitment means to the energy economy globally and what the future of the industry will look like.
