Studio Director of Data Analytics Big Huge Games
Emma Alvarez

With nearly two decades of experience in the technology sector — the majority of which have been dedicated to the gaming industry — I have had the privilege of leading diverse teams and initiatives across Marketing, Product, Production, Program Management, and Analytics. This breadth of experience has provided me with a holistic understanding of how each discipline contributes to a company’s success and how data can serve as the connective tissue that drives smarter, more strategic decisions.

Over the years, my focus has increasingly centered on Analytics — a field that has become both my professional passion and my area of expertise. I am deeply interested in how well-structured data and thoughtful analysis can unlock insights that enhance player experiences, improve operational efficiency, and inform long-term business strategy.

I often describe games analytics as the ultimate meta game — a continuous process of solving intricate puzzles, uncovering patterns, and translating numbers into meaningful stories that guide creative and commercial success.

Beyond my professional life, I am proud to be Melody’s mother and Mike’s partner — roles that ground me and remind me daily of what truly matters. Their presence is, without question, my most meaningful data point.
