Nick is an experienced general counsel in the insurance sector, with an M&A background and broader expertise across the regulatory, employment and contentious landscape. As General Counsel - Europe at Lockton since October 2023, Nick is a member of the European ExCo and is responsible, as part of the global Legal, Risk, Compliance and Secretariat team, for supporting the UK & Europe Region across a wide range of legal and regulatory work.
Nick read English at the University of Oxford then studied Law at Nottingham Law School. He trained, qualified and worked as a corporate lawyer at the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London and Paris from 2004 - 2010, prior to moving into the insurance industry. Outside of work, Nick enjoys time with his young family as well as playing cricket, running and volunteering in the community.
