Carlos is a seasoned Data & AI leader who specializes in building high-performing global teams and massive-scale Data & AI platforms. With over 15 years of experience and a PhD in Information Systems and Technologies, Carlos combines deep technical expertise with a commitment to people. In addition to his corporate leadership, he is an Invited Professor at the University of Minho, where he has shaped the next generation of data professionals since 2016. Driven by a "lift as you climb" philosophy, Carlos is a dedicated mentor and open-source contributor. He believes the true value of data lies not just in the systems he builds, but in the community he helps grow and the real-world impact they create together.
