Guillermo Ortiz is Head of Engineering at the FCTG Tech Hub Barcelona, leading the CorpTech engineering organisation across Platform Services, Content & Workflow, and EMEA. He leads a distributed engineering organisation building the core platforms that power FCM and Corporate Traveller globally; spanning booking, order management, traveller profiles, and agent tooling. A strong advocate for security-by-design, Guillermo works closely with corporate security, privacy, and compliance functions to ensure that the platforms his teams build meet the highest regulatory and data protection standards without sacrificing scalability or delivery speed. His engineering organisation operates a multi-cloud global infrastructure spanning Azure, GCP, and AWS, built on containerised, API-first architecture with security and compliance as the top non-functional priorities. He is also leading the hub's transformation into an AI-augmented engineering organisation, bringing the same rigour around governance and responsible adoption to the team's use of AI tooling in production environments.
