Matthew Gardner is a distributed SQL architect and platform engineering specialist with experience turning complex, stateful infrastructure into dependable internal platforms. Working with large corporations in financial services, he built a database platform designed to scale dynamically while insulating application teams from the operational complexity beneath it. His work balances automation, performance, security and clear guardrails, with a pragmatic focus on removing blockers and embedding best practices into the platform itself. Matthew brings a hands-on perspective on how platform and CloudOps teams can make database infrastructure fade into the background and therefore helping application engineers remain focused on shipping new features.
